Cyprus is an island in the EU with many beautiful beaches and Paphos as one of its towns is no exception.

The best time to visit Paphos or maybe Cyprus in general is in the spring or autumn – the weather should be more pleasant during the day. In case you are more interested in lying on the beach and doing a lot of watersports than you can come in summer.

In this article, you find a list of the most interesting beaches directly in Paphos or its nearby area – whether north or south.

Paphos beaches in the town

SODAP beach

Locals call this sandy beach SODAP after the famous Cypriot wine company, but it is referred to as Pachyammos Beach. There are many amenities like lifeguards, sunbeds, umbrellas, restaurants, toilets, changing rooms, free car parking, and hotels. The conditions for swimming are excellent. You will also enjoy doing some other watersports too.

Municipal Baths

Rocky Beach with a wooden deck near Poseidonos Ave. Very popular among locals. The beach has all important amenities like changing rooms, toilets, lifeguards, sunbeds, umbrellas, parking lots, restaurants, and hotels. Waters are ideal for swimming and watersports. The access to the sea is by short ladders.

Lighthouse beach

The beach lies close to major archeological sites and it comes with a long walking boardwalk. The place is clean with a lifeguard. There might be some slippery rocks thus making the swimming potential less interesting especially without swim shoes. But overall if you are looking for some relaxing place just to sunbathe maybe between visiting local sites of interest this might be a good choice. You can also get a sunbed and umbrella.
